PDF reports are commonly used by stock brokers for market updates. These documents will be shown in the same way as articles in the Business Radar feed.

Accessing Chinese news sources for Chinese articles

Specific Chinese news sources were not accessible in the past, which was resolved with the latest update. This enables coverage of Chinese news sources.

Own compliance database

Compliance data on sanctions, PEP, government linked entities, is scraped directly instead of relying on a third-party vendor. We achieve the same data coverage but building our own solution offers more customisation options.

External API update

Sharing changes in company information - such as changes in the company name, corporate structure, address, etc. - through the external API.

Missing company investigations can be raised through the API and compliance integration was improved with the option to check individuals not related to companies.

Automatic false positive rating

Automatically assigned false positives are visible in the screening including a reasoning. These were previously not shown and not accessible. To see the details, click the robot icon.

Automatic false positive ratings can be overwritten by marking the result as a risk confirmed. As previously, the results and actions will be visible in the audit trail.

Compliance entity screening

By selecting one entity to screen and conducting the screening, previous screening results under the same company will not be affected.

Materiality flag
The filter reviews the article and categories identified and determines the material impact the event has on the company under monitoring. This allows the filtering on signals that have a significant impact and therefore reduce the amount of false positives.

The filter is accessible on the articles page and alert settings. It can be applied through the external API.

Portfolio upload status

Batch registration tracking and overview including dates, companies, status and previous imports.

Frontend changes

Now including economic regions such as the EU, LATAM, UKI, etc. in article filtering and company searches.

Alert redesign

We redesigned the alert function in Business Radar making the set-up and review flow more user-friendly. The system now also calculates an estimate of the articles volume based on the filter choices.

Court cases in article feed

Began work on integrating court cases from official registries into the article feed for increased coverage on legal events.

Aliases in compliance checks

Compliance Checks now include known aliases, helping you identify potential risks linked to alternative names used by an entity.

Portfolio screening and indicators in portfolio list

It is now possible to screen an entire portfolio with only a few clicks. Upon screening, the results are indicated in the portfolio list, allowing a quick assessment of potential risks.

News coverage improvements

We improved how we search our historic news archive when you register a company, helping you build a more complete risk picture.

Additionally, we streamlined our news article collection, processing 1 Million articles per day.

Dun & Bradstreet partnership

Our partnership with Dun & Bradstreet helps ensure access to up-to-date company information, including directors. This also enables continuous monitoring for director changes and related compliance indicators.

Trade name in article display

Previously, other entities might have been shown in the article page of a company. Now, the articles are strictly restricted to the entity under review and will be linked in the article.

Categorisation

To improve coverage and filtering options, we added categories and changed how we categorise articles. If you have suggestions for additional categories, please submit them here: Business Radar Categories

Company & portfolio registration

Registering a company or portfolio is now faster and more reliable. Portfolio matching has been improved by using identifiers, resulting in a higher match rate.

Exclude paywalled articles

Implemented an option to exclude paywalled articles in the articles page.

UI Improvements

We made multiple usability improvements across Business Radar. One example is a smoother company registration flow when a company cannot be found immediately.

Business Radar applies a five-year retention policy for articles.

Events timeline

The very first version of our events timeline went live. It displays major events that have happened over the last year and give you a good understanding of how certain events have influenced a company.

Data changes

Inactive directors and UBO

Since an inactive director or UBO can still have an effect on a company, they will stay visible in Business Radar. However, these inactive entities are marked as such, so that a user can determine if this additional information will be of interest or not.

General improvements

We improved our clustering further and have made some changes to how we process abbreviation, which will ensure better coverage and less false positives.

PEP & Sanctions monitoring

Added PEP and Sanctions monitoring to Business Radar, checking each company against major sanction lists on a daily basis.

Compliance Check status monitoring and improved loading time

Showing entity loading percentages for compliance screening for a more interactive user experience and generally an improvement in time required to screen an entity.

Chat-function in Business Radar

Making sure our users are supported whenever they are using Business Radar: the chat can be accessed from every Business Radar page for quick and easy support.

We added a new API endpoint to enable our customers to integrate Business Radar's company and article feedback mechanisms into their applications.
